CHOOSING AN ELECTRIC SCOOTER

Best in Class: INOKIM Quick 3

The INOKIM Quick 3 strikes the perfect balance of ruggedness with 10 inch pneumatic tyres, comfortable large standing deck, and still lightweight enough to carry around at 14.5kg. Add a seat make it a more comfortable electric scooter ride!

Lightest Cheap E-Scooter: ZERO 2.0

The ZERO is the lightest electric scooter IN THE WORLD, weighing only 6.3 KG. It may not be as smooth, comfortable or powerful as the INOKIM, but it is incredibly handy and portable. At $999, it is also one of the cheapest electric scooters on the market.

Best Self-Balancing: The Ninebot Mini PRO

The Ninebot mini PRO is a fun and cool self-balancing electric scooter. Unlike the other electric scooters, no balancing skills are required to ride the Ninebot. It is all the rage now, and is incredibly agile - you can get speeds of 22km/h, and it's smaller than the size of a briefcase! Best part is, it keeps your hands free!

Best Electric Scooter with Seat: Stigo

Too tired to stand up during the long journeys on an electric scooter? Our Stigo is the most portable and fastest folding electric scooter with an integrated seat design. The Stigo comes with a ergonomically designed seat that is very comfortable especially for longer commutes.

HOW DO THEY WORK?

Electric scooters (or escooters) operate using a hassle brushless hub motor that is built into the wheel. The drive train system is virtually invisible to the naked eye. It uses a lithium based battery (most often Li-Ion) as its source of power, the same kind of batteries that power your hand phone and laptop.

The hub motor does all the work for you at the press of a button or throttle. The only skills requirement is that you have some bicycle balancing skills.

You control the speed of your electric scooter at your will, through a speed control throttle at the handlebar, providing you smooth acceleration.

Our electric scooters can carry you for a distance of 30-40 km on one charge, enabling you to travel for hours.

Difference between cheap electric scooter vs the premium models?

The difference lies in the built quality, performance and reliability. The batteries of cheaper electric scooter models do not have the capability to last more than 6 months whereas the more premium batteries can typically last up to 2 years.

The built quality of cheaper models is also poorer in that the aluminium alloy used is of a cheaper quality and not manufactured as well as the higher quality materials. This results in hairline cracks which leads to easier breakage of the frame components.
